The Health and Human Services (HHS) IT Delivery Center provides end-to-end IT services to all staff in the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This highly technical Network Specialist 2 is responsible for providing critical services within the Health and Human Services IT Delivery Center (HHS), administering over 20,000 workstations for some of the Commonwealth's largest agencies. You will be deeply involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining the desktop operating system environment for our supported agencies. You will gain hands-on experience managing Windows 10, Windows 11, and MacOS in a large enterprise environment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our project management team to plan and support the continuous hardware refresh cycle. This position also involves developing and continuously maintaining software application deployments, scripts, and patches utilizing the Microsoft Configuration Manager and Jamf Pro environments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Free parking. Work hours range from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30 or 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may be expected to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be required to report in-office at minimum one day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Network Specialist 1; or Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance; or Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance. Other Requirements: This particular position also requires that applicants must possess a minimum of one year of experience utilizing either Microsoft Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Intune, or Jamf.
