Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Health Program Manager in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK Duties include overseeing all aspects of the WFD grant including budgetary, narrative, all reporting deadlines, all government requirements, performance measures, and reporting methods. You also prepare or supervise preparation of reports for program planning and development, performance measures, recruitment and retention efforts, and data modernization efforts. In addition, you oversee quality assurance to evaluate the impact of recruitment and retention efforts for use in program development and to justify current and future funding.

This is a supervisory position. Supervisory duties include managing staff including assigning, prioritizing, and reviewing work; maintaining position descriptions; conducting employee performance management; approving or disapproving leave and travel requests; participating in staffing activities; coordinating employee discipline; and training staff, including coaching and team building.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You would report to the office one (1) day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Public Health Program Administrator; or A bachelor's degree and three years of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or A bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or An associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and five years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or Seven years of professional experience in development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment , environmental health or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or A master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care administration, health education, public health administration, public administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital administration, physical therapy, occupational t erapy, business administration, or education and two years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience.
