Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Dog Warden (Law Enforcement) - Clarion or Forest County in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations outlined in the State Dog Law and Rabies Law. This includes enforcing the provisions of these laws to uphold the safety and well-being of both animals and the community. You will play a crucial role in upholding these laws and ensuring that all individuals and organizations adhere to the regulations set forth to prevent the spread of rabies and promote responsible dog ownership.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Travel and overtime is required as needed. Position will be home headquartered if applicant lives in Clarion or Forest County. If applicant does not live in Clarion or Forest County, the assigned state vehicle must be parked in one of these counties and the work day will start at 8:00 AM at the location of the assigned state vehicle.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in dog law enforcement, animal control, animal welfare, or animal science work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Additional Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

You must pass a background investigation.
