DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Veterans Education Advisor, you will be responsible for assigned outreach and liaison responsibilities designed to promote participation in education and training programs by eligible veterans. Work includes application review and approval notice preparation, annual site visits, review of files to monitor student progress and facility's accountability, and report discrepancies to schools and initiate corrective actions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining records, logs, and control files as well as developing and implementing outreach projects within your assigned territory. you will have the opportunity to work with facilities such as colleges, universities, hospitals, proprietary schools, vocational technical schools, cosmetology schools, barber schools, correspondence schools, flight schools, other schools (police academies and real estate schools), secondary schools, industrial and business establishments, licensure and certification agencies, and business organizations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report to the office once per month, additional in-office days may be required as directed by the Division Chief. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Five years of professional experience in education, vocational education, or educational administration or closely related experience involving planning or conducting training or educational programs in industry, government or schools, and a bachelor's degree; or Four years of professional experience in education, vocational education, or educational administration or closely related experience involving planning or conducting training or educational programs in industry, government or schools, and a master's degree.
