Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Hartford, Connecticut

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Hartford, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our financial operations by handling account coding, utilizing accounting software systems, and dealing with various accounting functions. This position is within the finance industry and will be based in a traditional office setting.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process and maintain customer credit applications.

• Manage and update customer credit records with precision.

• Handle inquiries from customers and provide timely solutions.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems effectively to manage financial data.

• Perform account coding tasks accurately.

• Apply ADP - Financial Services tools in managing financial operations.

• Utilize Concur for travel and expense management.

• Implement ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for integrated management of main business processes.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial operations are compliant and accurate.

• Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Perform accrual accounting tasks and manage Accounts Payable (AP) operations. Requirements • Proficiency in account coding is required

• Experience with accounting software systems is essential

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary

• Proficiency in using Concur is expected

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions is necessary

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is expected

• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is required

• Experience in auditing is essential

• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is required
