Description:

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for reviewing financial/insurance information obtained to meet State, Federal and Third-Party billing requirements and to ensure reimbursement for services.

What you will do

• Satisfy admission notice requirements with pre-certification and HMO companies

• Review and process Self Pay patients for government assistance, arrange for financial agreements for hospital and Anesthesia, and solicit payment for non-covered services

• Edit, update and file all new information gathered for each admission and assist patients with billing related inquiries

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent, college experienced preferred

• 2-3 years Patient Accounting, Financial Counseling. Knowledge of billing regulations helpful

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
