ManpowerGroup Electrical Engineering Manager - DIRECT HIRE/PERMANENT! in Hartland, Wisconsin

Manpower Engineering is closely partnering with an industry leading, established and growing company in Hartland, WI on a highly visible and direct hire/permanent Electrical Engineering Manager position that’s available due to continued growth.

The company has a long and strong track record of success – 38 years – and grew 21% over the past two years. Our client designs and manufactures custom pumping solutions for Golf, Landscape, Municipal and Agricultural use. They offer a full line of pump station products from single-pump self-enclosed landscape pumping systems to highly complex, large-capacity systems for water districts, resorts, and farming operations. Over the years the company has expanded capabilities well beyond their traditional markets, pioneering new products in water treatment, filtration, and rainwater harvesting. The company offers the most advanced control software solutions available, including web-based telemetry for remote system monitoring and control. JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is primarily responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers to generate high quality, cost effective industrial control panels, mainly for water pumping systems, while ensuring compliance with engineering and safety standards, client specifications, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the assigned engineering team members effectively and efficiently to achieve assigned objectives and goals.

  • Prepare detailed schematics, bills of material, and panel layout drawings in accordance with design specifications and established department design standards. Produce high quality, low cost designs using established company standards, while meeting applicable codes and assigned schedules. Stay current with applicable technology and safety standards, providing insight and guidance to others when called upon.

  • Efficiently manage multiple projects at the same time.

  • Provide assistance to production team during layout, assembly, and testing, resolving any issues relating to the design or bills of material.

  • Continuously identify and investigate opportunities to improve electrical systems, components, and processes.

  • Provide technical assistance to Applications Engineering, Sales, Service and customers as needed.

  • Meet regularly with individual team members and hold regular team meetings to provide mentoring, coaching, and career development guidance.

  • Collect feedback, provide input to salary and promotion decisions, and deliver annual performance evaluations.

  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects that improve the way of working, increase collaboration, and streamline processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience is preferred – open to 5+ depending on experience.

  • Leadership/experience with direct reports is preferred.

  • Experience designing industrial control panels, that include programmable logic control systems, advanced control techniques using VFDs, cellular remote monitoring systems, and power monitoring software systems.

  • High proficiency in electrical CAD tools (AutoCAD-Electrical preferred), creating schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and other electrical engineering documents.

  • Working knowledge of applicable USA codes and standards, especially NEC, UL, NEMA, IEEE, and NFPA. Familiarity with international codes and standards is a plus.

  • Familiar with power distribution, transformers, and service switches.

  • Experience with electrical enclosures and/or sheet metal fabrication is a plus.

  • Strong computer skills; must be proficient with Excel; Microsoft Office preferred.

  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
