Function Description
Card & Merchant Accounting and Controls (CMAC) team in Global Financial Operations, Controllership, manages the foundational accounting for Card Member spend, Remittances and Merchant payments along with various other operational accounting processes that is core to a Credit Card domain.
This team is the last line of defense and liaisons with broader controllership, technology / product, and Global Service Group (GSG) / servicing teams to ensure correct Card Member allocations and financial integrity is embedded in the end-to-end process.
How will you make an impact in this role?
This position of B30 people leader will play a critical role of managing US and LACC Card Member Credit Balance Refunds and US and International Card Member Credit Balance Transfer accounting process, managing balance Sheet ledgers, governance and accounting. Position will be responsible to lead a team who would be responsible to perform timely investigation and clearance of monthly transactions, work closely with business partners, Servicing teams, local Controllership and technology
Responsible for maintaining financial integrity of ledgers within the US and LACC Card Member Credit Balance Refunds and US and International Card Member Credit Balance Transfer process
Lead a team responsible for accounting, research & clearance to maintain financial integrity of process
Ability to drive self and team goals with continuous focus on process improvement.
Demonstrate effective proactiveness, transformational mindset as well as strong analytical skills.
Ensure operational resilience through knowledge retention and building back-ups for team & him/herself.
Identify simplification and automation opportunities and work towards implementing them.
Be able to proactively highlight, communicate and mitigate risks.
Ensure process controls are in place for the process managed and ability to create/modify the controls with process enhancement initiatives
Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders across the organization and build relationships.
Be able to contribute to the team strategy and long-term plans.
Ability to manage multiple projects to support enterprise goals
Minimum Qualifications
B.com with 3-6 years or CA/MBA/post grad with 2-4 years of work experience
US GAAP knowledge and Audit experience is a plus
Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, AR System of Record applications like Triumph, Globestar, Payable Systems including Oracle SL & Mercury, etc.
Analytical skills, ability to understand the linkages to processes.
Excellent team player with strong Inter-Personal skills and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership skills needed to create, develop and communicate with diverse work force.
Good Accounting Knowledge.
Ability to think innovatively and to pursue ideas with conviction.
