Coastal Community Action Inc. Classroom Floater/Substitute Teacher (Part-time) in Havelock, North Carolina
We are looking for a part-time Floater to join our Head Start team at Coastal Community Action! CCA is a private nonprofit corporation providing a variety of services to a target population of low-income children and families in ten counties in eastern NC, with a mission of empowering them to become self-sufficient.
When classroom staff is absent, Floaters are assigned as a substitute to a single classroom for the duration of the absence. When not substituting, Floaters work equally in each classroom, or as assigned by the Center Manager. The schedule is affected by daily attendance and enrollment.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in all classroom functions and works as a member of the classroom team, consistent with the Head Start (HS) Performance Standards, ITERS/ECERS, Agency and Program Policies and Procedures, and N.C. Child Care licensing regulations.
- Responsible for substituting for teaching staff on a short and long term basis and, as needed, for cooks by working in the kitchen.
What You'll Have:
- Minimum of High School Diploma and the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential required.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is preferred.
- Minimum of one year work experience related to the care and development of toddler and/or preschool children.
- Valid background clearance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.25 - $14.00 per hour
