BCAA Associate, People Services in *Head Office, Canada

We are currently hiring an Associate based in our People Services team.

As an Associate you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of the People Services department. Through your administrative excellence and the positive relationships you build throughout BCAA, you provide support and guidance to managers and team members across all departments in areas such as employee lifecycle changes, onboarding, occupational health and safety, performance management, employee and labour relations.

What you bring

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business or Occupational Health & Safety

  • 1-2 years in related experience

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

  • Clean BC Drivers license with access to a vehicle

  • Level 2 first aid (or be willing to take)

Once here, you will

  • Support the implementation and administration of all Health & Safety programs, initiatives, and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and to meet the needs of BCAA

  • Complete monthly and annual inspections, ensuring compliance

  • Partner with operation leadership to ensure program adherence, appropriate escalations, and best practices are designed and executed with Health & Safety in mind

  • Support in responding to general team member inquiries, resolving standard Human Resources issues and liaising with People Services leaders

  • Leads coordination of events including planning, set up, take down and making necessary arrangements

  • Support People Services leaders in creating letters and documentation

  • Liaise with People & Development centres of excellence to drive people programs and people services inquiries

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000  to $55,000 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
