BCAA Change Specialist in *Head Office, Canada

As Change Specialist, you’ll provide hands-on support in building and implementing best-in-class, people-centered change management capability across BCAA. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Organizational Change Leadership, you will plan, coordinate and develop a variety of communication, training and engagement initiatives to support the effective delivery of Organizational Change Management (OCM). You will partner closely with Corporate Communications, Project Management Office, Learning and Development and other Change Hub members to create a consistent change experience for team members at BCAA.

Please note that this is a temporary position until September 2025. This is a hybrid role based on our Burnaby, BC (British Columbia) Head Office. Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our 4567 Canada Way office and/or are not looking to relocate to BC will not be considered for this position.

What you’ll do:

  • Craft compelling and captivating communications tailored to engage and resonate with diverse audiences, ensuring clarity in every message

  • Collaborate closely with Change Leads to sculpt and execute comprehensive project communication strategies that drive success and foster stakeholder buy-in

  • Amplify project engagement through the seamless execution of meticulously planned communication initiatives, enhancing project visibility and momentum

  • Collect data for regular periodic reporting of metrics; update and maintain the Change Heat Map, which tracks key initiatives across the organization and provides a broad view of organizational change capacity

  • Tailor stakeholder communications to resonate with affected personas, fostering awareness and comprehension of change impacts, and championing a culture of adaptability and forward motion

  • Collaborate with Change Leads and change partners from the businessto address high-impact project needsand support the delivery of change management expertise and guidance

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities alongside Change Leads to foster enthusiasm and garner support across BCAA, driving project success and organizational alignment

  • Assist the Change Lead in the development, continuous improvement, and delivery of the Change Leadership Program, which aimsto enhance internalchange management capabilities at BCAA

What you bring:

  • Post secondary education in Communications, Marketing orrelated field, and 2 years related work experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a strong background in designing communications for a variety of channels and audiences

  • People centric mindset to change and processes

  • Experience planning for change initiatives and developing creative communications, such as toolkits, key messages and presentations

  • Proficiency in using creative tools and technologies (ie. Powtoon, Miro, Canva, etc)to create deliverables for communications, engagement and training and a curiosity and desire to learn about new tools and technologies is a plus

  • Bonus Qualifications! Change Management (CMP) or PROSCI certificationis a plus

Internal applicants, this is a Grade 11 position, and the internal posting will be live until April 19, 2024.

The hourly rate for this position is $38.84 to $48.55 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
