State of Montana IT Systems Architect in Helena, Montana

Our IT Systems Architect is responsible for documenting both hardware and software platforms for DEQ applications, coordinating design and integration of systems, planning future system needs, and working closely with IT and DEQ programs to ensure technical requirements and identified and communicated. In this role, you'll: * _Craft the future of environmental technology_: *Help select appropriate design solutions and collaborate with other IT roles to ensure compatibility of systems and network components; analyze networks and computer systems for stability, interoperability, and scalability of system architecture; research and develop architecture requirements for new technology adoption. * *_Leverage your skills:_ Resolve top-level systems and network issues typically spanning multiple layers of technology. * _Become a security champion:_ Develop and integrate network and system security measures, disaster recovery protocols, and system-capacity requirements. * _Deliver solutions that matter: _Help create software solutions for diverse needs across end-user, mid-tier, and web-based systems. * _Thrive in a dynamic environment: _Collaborate with a supportive and fun team setting using the Scaled-Agile framework. * _Enjoy a healthy work-life balance:_ We value your well-being and offer excellent benefits. The IT Systems Architect position includes a career ladder for professional development and pay progression. • Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field with an emphasis on information technology and/or software application engineering. Relevant bachelor's degree preferred. • Four (4) years job-related experience in software applications engineering or other closely related field of work. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
