Community Health Programs at Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of the Henderson and Las Vegas valley communities. We offer a range of impactful programs, including:

  • Helping Hands of Henderson : Transportation services and essential support for seniors to maintain independence.

  • Powerful Tools for Caregivers : Skill-building for caregivers to reduce stress.

  • R.E.D. Rose Program : Life-saving breast health services for uninsured women and men.

  • Senior Peer Counseling : Compassionate support for seniors facing aging challenges.

  • The Mats Project : Creating sustainable mats for the homeless using upcycled materials.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Assist individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors.

  • Conduct outreach for medical personnel or health organizations to implement programs in the community that promote maintain and improve individual and community health.

  • May provide information on available resources provide social support and informal counseling advocate for individuals and community health needs.

  • Provide services such as blood pressure screening.

  • May collect data to help identify community health needs.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Experience working in the community.

  • High school diploma.

  • Will complete CHW or Promotoras training within a year of hire.

  • Ability to work independently set priorities and manage work within timeframes.

  • Read and analyze technical material.

  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Positive mental attitude.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Ability to handle highly confidential information essential.

  • Must be computer literate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Completed CHW or Promotoras training.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Pay Range

$17.12 - $23.54 /hour
