Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a diligent Cost Accountant to join our team in Henrico, Virginia. The role involves conducting periodic reviews of Profit and Loss (P& L) accounts, comparing actual figures with forecasts, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and working with relevant teams to prepare forecasts or budgets. This role will also involve working closely with the operations team to improve business and operational metrics.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct periodic reviews of Profit and Loss (P& L) accounts to ensure that all postings are done according to defined policy, process, and procedures

• Compare actual figures with forecasts or quotes and ensure that variances are properly researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify any variances and ensure that these variances are properly dealt with in the books of accounts

• Review accounts on a periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that it is properly mitigated

• Ensure that all book close related/reporting activities are properly planned and executed on a timely basis with utmost accuracy

• Work with relevant teams to prepare forecasts or budgets for the related accounts

• Collaborate with the Operations team to improve the business and operational metrics

• Demonstrate familiarity with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS

• Leverage excellent Microsoft Excel skills to manage, analyze and present data effectively

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CapEx, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Budget Processes, and Cost Accounting skills to perform tasks efficiently and effectively. • Knowledge of Capital Expenditure (CapEx)

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to work with various ERP Solutions

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Expertise in Cost Accounting

• Ability to perform Cost Analysis
