Job Description
IFF is one of the leading companies on development and production of flavors, fragrances and ingredients for food, beverage, personal care, and household product industries. Our products are used by other manufacturing companies producing a wide variety of every-day consumed products (i.e.,beverages, detergents, cosmetics, deodorants, dairy products, soups and sauces, etc.). The Product Experience department deals with sensory analysis and consumer research in order to support the R&D department and marketing/sales choices. It plays a key role in product development processes, to understand how to fulfill consumer needs and expectations (thanks to tools like sensory profiling, preference evaluation, product positioning, consumer qualitative and quantitative research, etc.).
Cognitive Science Internship - Text Analysis application in consumer research: desk research, applying text analysis on one of the research projects, preparing recommendations for business.
With guidance from PX (Product Experience) researchers, the intern will:
Conduct desk research on text analysis (definition, application, techniques, examples, etc.).
Prepare an overview of relevant providers/ software’s of text analysis.
Apply text analysis on one of the research projects.
Write a report with results and recommendations for business.
Present the key findings and recommendations to the internal team.
Job Requirements
Skills expected:
Scientific: good knowledge inCONSUMER RESEARCH/ PSYCHOLOGY(qualitative research methods/techniques and analysis, consumer behavior, motivations, and attitudes) withSTATISTICAL SKILLS(in quantitative consumer research).
Computer science:being at ease with digital environment,experience with Microsoft Excel (i.e.,macro and functions), XLSTAT is a plus.
Language:mandatory scientific and professional English, written and oral, another language is a plus.
Personal: we are looking for aINITIATIVE,SOLUTION-ORIENTEDstudent withANALYTICALmindset and a strong interest inHUMAN BEHAVIORandMOTIVATIONS.
