GE Healthcare Field Engineer Molecular Imaging Computed Tomography in Hoevelaken, Netherlands

Job Description Summary

As a Field Engineer, you will carry out preventive maintenance, installations, troubleshooting and repairs on life-changing medical equipment. The modalities you will be responsible for include Computed Tomography (CT) and Molecular Imaging (MI), all of which are vital to enable our hospital and healthcare customers to diagnose their patients. You'll work out in the field, travelling from customer to customer, staying focussed and calm under pressure as you solve complex problems to fix important products. You'll be given the freedom to plan and organize your day, and opportunities to move into different roles as you develop your career here. In this role you will be trained cross modality and cover the whole of Netherlands.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Take care of all on site life extensions, repair and provide inspection-related service activities for installed fleets and supervision for construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment, able to be performed at customer site; make Engineering decisions;

  • Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area;

  • Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understand how work of own team contributes to the area;

  • Resolve issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters;

  • Collaborate with others to solve issues. Develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE HealthCare. Exchange technical information; ask questions and check for understanding.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Qualified Technician/ Biomedical Engineer or equivalent professional experience in medical devices, advantage: relevant Field Service experience;

  • Customer-oriented attitude, excellent listening and interpersonal skills;

  • Fluency in Dutch with good English language skills;

  • Valid driving license, active driving experience;

  • High work standards and quality;

  • Shows Initiative and motivation;

  • Plans and organizes work effectively.
