Position Specifics:

Department: Information Technology

Reports to: Information Technology Manager

Location: This position will be housed out of the Support Center in Holdrege, Nebraska

Purpose:

To provide assistance to the Information Technology Manager by supporting employee hardware and software needs on all technology types, follow scheduled tasks based on priority at all locations, and understand a wide array of technologies used, from agriculture based support to network infrastructure, in effort to support many levels of technical needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup, install, and perform maintenance to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment used currently and in the future

  • Manage hardware inventory and track replacement cycles.

  • Provide software patch management for all native and third party applications in our organization

  • Password administration for hosted applications as well as local hardware devices and Active Directory

  • Support and management of cellular devices

  • Determine escalation needs of business system issues and report major discrepancies to IT Manager

  • Assist IT Manager on project planning and deployment in all areas

  • Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to tickets submitted to IT support queue

  • Determine escalation needs for support and installation of technology issues to IT Manager -

  • Assists IT Manager in other daily tasks as needed

  • Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users

Qualifications

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 1+ Years in Information Technology support field

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and other desktop applications

  • Advance problem solving skills preferred

  • Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs., climb and/or crawl to install equipment and run cables; may be required to sit long periods at a workstation

  • Must have valid driver’s license and travel to all company branch locations when needed

  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience preferred

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

While performing the job duties, the employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting. Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed . Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
