Paramount Senior Vice President, Strategic and Financial Planning in Hollywood, California

Were seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Vice President, Strategy & Financial Planning to lead our CBS and TV Media Segment. The position can be based in New York or Hollywood.

As the Senior Vice President, youll spearhead strategic initiatives across our diverse portfolio, including CBS (Studio, Network Entertainment, News, Sports, Television Stations, Syndication, and Digital components) as well as Paramount Media Networks (MTV, Comedy Central, TV Land, BET and VH1) and International (Channel 5 in the UK Network Ten Australia, Telefe in Argentina, and Chilevision in Chile).

Reporting directly to the COO/CFO of CBS and CFO of TV Media, youll be at the forefront of financial and operational decision-making working closely with key stakeholders to drive growth and profitability. This role will manage and guide a team of five employees.

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Collaborating with CBS Leadership on financial and operational strategies relating to CBS across all business units, Revenue Leads and operational functions including Business Affairs, Production and Labor

  • Developing and implementing transformational plans and long-range financial strategies

  • Partnering with division CEOs, CFOs and Revenue Leads (Ad Sales, Affiliate Sales, Content Sales) as well as SG&A functions (Marketing, Sales, Research, Comms, etc.) to build forecasts and strategic plans

  • Maintaining weekly communication with Paramount Global CFO and corporate FP&A team on forecasts and business matters

  • Liaising with the Chief Accounting Officer and the Controllership group

  • Leading earnings preparation and playing an integral role in board presentations

  • Participating in high-level discussions with CBS CEO

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of financial and operations experience, preferably in a major media company or Fortune 500 company

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to develop talent and foster team engagement

  • Bachelors Degree; MBA preferred

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to develop and execute complex financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to motivate cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives and deliver results

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $268,800.00 - 325,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.
