Job Title: Back Office Medical Assistant FloaterJob Description
The Floater will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. Supports clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating patient population. The medical assistant floater is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. This floating employee will be working in various offices to support in either the MA role or dedicated lab duties.
Responsibilities
Perform quality team-based patient care under the supervision of a clinician.
Support clinician and care management teams in maintaining chronic disease management.
Conduct laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
Examine and treat patient population.
Float between various offices to support either in the MA role or in dedicated lab duties.
Assess emergencies and act accordingly.
Communicate and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
Take vitals, with a preference for manual vitals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma required
2 years' experience within clinic/back office healthcare setting
MA diploma OR Certified MA (CMA) OR 3 years' MA experience
Phlebotomy experience required
Must be able to take vitals (manual vitals preferred)
Active BLS required
Active driver's license required
Flexible to adjust to changing work environment
Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
Experience with TriMed EMR preferred
Work Environment
100% onsite: floats between Monday - Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm) AND Every-Other-Saturday (8:00am to 12:00pm). Floating to Homestead, Homestead Pavilion. Homestead: 3084 NE 41st Terrace, Homestead, FL. Homestead Pavilion: 2565 NE 9th Court, Homestead.
