The Role: People Officer (C&B)

Employment Type: 6 Months Contract

The Location: Hong Kong – Admiralty

Reports to: People Operations Manager

The Team: Comprise of highly collaborative, customer-oriented HR professionals, our team aspire to deliver the world-class people services to the company.

The individual will be providing full spectrum of C&B function such as payroll processing and related reporting, benefits services to office in Hong Kong. Reporting to People Operations Manager on all HR payroll and reporting related matters.

What you will be working on:

  • Processes end to end payroll, Pension & taxation and manages statutory activities.

  • Handle Inland revenue activities, govt reporting and work Injury and Insurance cases.

  • Comp Admin for HK which will be needed in lead up to Comp Planning Cycle.

  • Collect Payroll info from the business line representatives and send to Payroll vendor.

  • Maintain and streamline the existing payroll for the processing of monthly payroll.

  • Handle the payroll related questions through Payroll mailbox or HR Hotline.

  • Manage the payroll results send back from Payroll vendor and update the payroll vendor with most up-to-date local labour ordinance.

  • Conduct off-boarding meeting with the leavers with the signed paperwork.

  • Confirm the monthly payroll registers & send to finance.

  • Prepare the payroll related reports for HR / business use.

  • Liaise with payroll vendor and process the tax returns regularly.

  • Other projects and tasks from time to time assigned by management.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Post-secondary educated.

  • 2-3 years experience as a C&B officer with a sizeable organization.

  • MNC environment is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel a must, including but not limited to v-lookup, charts, and pivot tables.

  • Proficient in PeopleSoft is preferred.

  • Strong numeric and computational skills.

  • Adequate knowledge of employment legislations of the jurisdictions mentioned.

  • Experienced with EAO calculations; and

  • Good communication and language skills (English, Cantonese, and Mandarin).
