Deloitte C5ISR Systems Engineer PD Specialist I in Honolulu, Hawaii

Work you'll do

As a Systems Engineer, you'll work on a fast-paced project supporting a high priority Department of Defense program. This role requires experience in large systems design, development, deployment, and maintenance.

You will play a key role in creating innovative and engaging experiences on a new platform designed to develop technology solutions for big data environments. These solutions will illuminate critical capabilities and vulnerabilities for DoD planners.

Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills for effective communication, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions amidst ambiguity, meet deadlines, and be self-starters requiring minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and integrate tools that will provide analytics on military plan effectiveness and combat power generation

  • Accelerate the delivery of solutions to our customers by integrating existing capabilities into new platforms

  • Address technical needs by integrating existing capabilities, developing and verifying new methods and techniques

  • Guide developers to build/test/refine new capabilities

  • Establish solutions for complex problems involving several technical disciplines using technical analysis and problem-solving capabilities

  • Identify capability gaps, assess capability gaps, and recommend solutions

  • Pay high attention to detail and work closely with business and technical stakeholders

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field

  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering with defense sector systems with a focus on designing, integrating, and implementing complex C5ISR systems

  • In-depth understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, MBSE, and best practices

  • Proficiency in systems monitoring, diagnostics and performance analysis tools

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or another related engineering or computer science discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex DOD systems

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, and Washington State, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, and Washington state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,000 to $163,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
