SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Emergency Medical Sciences/Paramedic instructor works under the direction of the Dean of Nursing and Health Sciences and EMS Program Director, will work with a team to create classroom and clinical learning activities in the Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic Programs.\
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and revise course outlines, instructional objectives, and evaluation tools.
Continuous review, planning, evaluation of the program for effectiveness and achievement of regulatory board and/or accreditation standards
Student advising and EMS (EMT & Paramedic), as well as college committee work will be expected
Instructs students in specialized educational programs by lecturing in classroom and laboratory and clinical settings and developing and providing individual instruction as required
Interprets policies, programs and procedures related to the delivery of services Seeks, selects and uses resources compatible with student/program needs
Implements various strategies or approaches to meet students needs, including consulting with students, families, and school staff, as needed
Assesses and documents attainment of program objectives
Performs as the clinical coordinator for all EMS programs, including clinical site visits as directed by program director
Serves as primary instructor for EMT program and assists with paramedic program
Performs other duties as assigned
