Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Houston, Texas. This role is within the financial industry where the selected candidate will be tasked with the processing and reconciliation of various financial transactions, maintenance of financial records, and other related duties. This role is 100% onsite

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile monthly firm statements

• Efficiently handle regular monthly AP invoices and check processing

• Manage contract attorneys monthly reimbursement checks

• Send out timely reminders for expense reimbursements

• Process expense reimbursements and cut checks

• Maintain accurate records of third-party invoices

• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries regarding payment status

• Maintain and update vendor spreadsheets

• Handle check requests and vouch for transfer of funds for application to invoices

• Update and maintain monthly supply budget

• Process annual corporate rate agreements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Check Processing procedures

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
