Aramco Services Company Commodity Trading Analyst (1305) in Houston, Texas

Position Overview:

The Trader Support/Book Runner will play a crucial role in supporting the Crude Oil Trading Desk at Aramco Trading Americas (ATA) in executing system workflows and strategies across various crude oil books in ATA. This role will focus on providing comprehensive support to the Desk in identifying, developing, and managing the exposure, deal capture, PnL, workflows, and system integrity working with key stakeholders across the organization.  The role will work directly for the Head of Crude Trading to help implement successful execution, scalability, and continuous improvement/efficiency in the deal life cycle. 

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Assist in process improvements and best practice implementation across crude oil trading books and risk system.

  • Coordinate, foster and maintain relationships within ATA organization with Risk, Operations, Treasury, Trading, and Management

  • Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities in geographic regions of focus and share relevant intelligence with the Desk.

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous update system solutions across the Desk.

  • Share market knowledge and insights with colleagues to strengthen understanding of market dynamics, system process, and identify new business solutions.

  • Develop collaborative relationships with global stakeholders to enhance understanding ATA objectives and projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Finance or Engineering

  • Demonstrated expertise in crude supply, trading, arbitrage, blending, risk systems, deal flow, negotiations, and logistics.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Self-starter with a proven track record of developing and executing business plans.

  • Expert level knowledge on risk management, systems, and deal flow

  • Understanding of demand and pricing relationship between various crude grades and markets.

  • Minimum 5 years of crude oil risk, supply, marketing, and trading experience in North American markets.

  • Ability to work in an office environment located in downtown Houston, TX.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Finance or Engineering

  • Experience with refinery processes and petroleum refinery optimization

  • Detail understanding of global fundamentals and ability to provide market intelligence.
