Internship Summary:

Kuraray Americas Inc. is looking for a highly motivated, flexible intern to join our Human Resources team and contribute to our growing business stakeholders. This role will assist in a variety of human resources roles and is a great fit for someone who isn't sure what kind of role they would want within a collaborative HR group. The position is in Houston, Texas.

The paid internship will be 13 weeks in duration for the summer of 2025 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full-time.

The internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the analysis of supplier's performance, evaluation of proposals and terms and conditions negotiations.
• Analyze industry trends and insights, and suppliers' spotlights to support Procurement Newsletter initiative.
• Identify and document recent successful procurement initiatives within the organization, such as cost-saving projects, successful negotiations, or process improvements to support Procurement Lessons Learned Initiative.
• Analyze the Approved Vendors Directory to identify areas for improvement.
• Support the Mentoring Circles Program Enhancement by developing and refining training materials, including user guides and exercises. Explore potential collaborations with other departments to enhance the program's effectiveness.
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations related to procurement activities.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Completed two years of college education before beginning internship (3rd or 4th year student)
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
• Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.
• Excel and/or PowerBI experience
• Creative and Flexible
• Ability to prioritize a variety of different projects and requests.
• Demonstrated communication, writing, and leadership skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.
• Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.
• Must successfully pass the pre-employment screening process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
