Senior Tax Analyst
Intertek is searching for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team based from our Houston, Texas office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in FP&A!
The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for completion of all phases of corporate income tax return preparation.
What you’ll do:
Prepare federal income tax returns (proforma) and assist with the preparation of the consolidated federal tax returns (Form 1120).
Prepare separate & unitary state income tax returns.
Prepare and reconcile tax depreciation calculations, gain & loss calculations with asset roll forwards.
Prepare and assist with mid-year and annual tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740.
Prepare and assist with US international tax calculations and workpapers including BEAT, GILTI, FDII, 5471s, 5472, 8858s, 5713, etc.
Prepare and assist with extensions and quarterly estimated federal and state tax payments.
Respond to notices from tax authorities and tax audits.
Assist with various special projects or tasks as assigned.
What it takes to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. A master’s degree or/and CPA preferred.
Minimum of 4 to 5 years US federal and state tax compliance experience
International Tax experience a plus
Demonstrated analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must have experience using Excel, Word, OneSource Income Tax and RIA Checkpoint. Familiarity with PeopleSoft a plus.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines independently.
