Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Houston, Texas. This role is within the telecom industry and will involve working in a corporate reporting finance function. The responsibilities of this role encompass a wide range of financial accounting tasks including report generation, financial analysis, and maintaining compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of information and analysis

• Supporting the Consolidation Team in maintaining data accuracy and adhering to reporting requirements

• Acting as the primary point of contact for the internal Corporate Team regarding reporting requirements and disseminating changes to requirements as necessary to worldwide teams

• Implementing systems and processes that facilitate timely and accurate reporting, and evaluating these systems for potential improvements

• Validating that reporting data is prepared in line with IFRS and reconciles to the underlying source data

• Preparing quarterly reporting requirements

• Monitoring and reviewing allocation and budget write off

• Providing timely information and analysis to external auditors to facilitate their duties

• Regularly reporting Key Financial information to support operations, such as Capital Expenditure reporting

• Supporting the coordination of quarterly and year-end reviews by external auditors

• Assisting the FPA group in the production of corporate plans and forecasts

• Occasionally deputizing for the Financial Accounting Manager as required.

Skills required for this role include Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Oracle, SAP, and IFRS Accounting. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of an Accountant or similar

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries

• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Experience with Oracle and SAP systems

• Knowledge of IFRS Accounting standards

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
