Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a Program Manager for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) in Huntsville, AL. IBCS, which integrates disparate sensors and effectors, is the centerpiece of the US Army’s modernization of air and missile defense.
As a Program Manager, you will directly report up to the US IBCS Business Area senior leadership and be responsible for all programmatic elements including cost, technical and schedule performance. You will lead the US IBCS logistics efforts ensuring performance in alignment with the contract and customer needs. You will interface with the customer community and multiple internal organizations. In addition to driving logistics program execution, you will also be responsible for driving organic growth of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Oversees all logistics efforts, responsible for cost, technical and schedule performance
Lead multi-discipline team which provides field engineering services, depot logistics support, training and new material fielding support
Perform EVM Control Account Manager (CAM) roles and responsibilities
Drive development of logistics publications, manuals and documents
Drive enhancement of skillset and technical development of FSRs to maintain high level of standards/proficiency
Guide logisticians to ensure equipment set for deployment is fully mission capable
Communicate with various internal and external stakeholders across multiple organizations
Evaluate and enhance processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality
Collaborate across multiple disciplines outside of logistics, including engineering and contracts
Estimate resource requirements, evaluate and estimate costs associated with fielding operations
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 7 years of program management or IPT leadership; Masters degree with 5 years of program management or IPT leadership experience; 12 years of overall industry experience
Demonstrated customer interface and large-team organizational and communication skills
Demonstrated executive communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
Experience in program-level financial management and reporting (Earned Value Management, Control Account Management, Risk Management)
Understanding of organizational financial management and reporting (Annual Operating Plan)
Intensive experience in the management of technical materials
Experience in resource planning and staffing to plan
Active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with command and control systems and air and missile defense
Experience working with the US Army
Program management experience on an ACAT-1 program
7+ years of program management experience
Proven ability to manage and lead program managers
Proposal development experience
Agile experience and training
Project Management Professional certification, or similar
Active Top Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $172,500 - $258,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
