POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Test Technician day to day operations will be as follows: Utilize established instructions to test manufactured equipment to ensure all test requirements are met. Record and report results. Troubleshoot and/or service manufactured equipment both within our facility and at a customer site. Perform in-process tests to facilitate the manufacturing process. Make engineering change recommendations based on testing and/or observations. Maintain a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management.
Job Responsibilities
Work with Engineering, Quality Control, Manufacturing representatives, during in-process testing, and acceptance Test operations
Perform functional check out and operational/component testing of electrical/electronic, electro-mechanical, electro-optical, mechanical systems, and maintenance of associated support equipment
Recommend and make refinement to equipment, sub-assemblies, test and integration processes
Work from engineering drawings, schematics, work orders, technical documents and formal direction
Write reports and identify non-conformance in a clear manor
Work in a team environment with minimal amount of supervisor instruction or direction. Ability to work overtime as required
Other Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of experience as an electronics/test technician
Associate or Vocational degree in electronics
Experience with electronic measuring equipment
Experience operating non-automated stand-alone test equipment
Test and troubleshooting experience of advanced electronic Systems
Prior experience working with thermal and vibration test equipment preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated computer skills to include MS Word and Excel
Knowledge and application of ESD procedures
