We are currently seeking an Ultrasonic Testing Technician at our Huntsville, AL location. This is a 2nd shift position with working hours from 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.
Primary Responsibilities:
As an Ultrasonic Technician, you will work with testing and inspection equipment to provide examination and testing metallic parts for jet engine components.
A successful Ultrasonic Testing Technician has strong attention to detail and embraces the opportunity to be empowered to make important decisions regarding the integrity of our components.
Essential Duties:
Conducting daily ultrasonic setups, examination, and testing of components to determine acceptability of product.
Examining product for possible defects and documenting results accordingly.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, and procedures in order to accomplish ultrasonic setups, tests and reporting.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Basic Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Dedication to safe work practices
Capable of distinguishing and differentiating colors
Vision of 20/25 in at least one eye, natural or corrected
