Hiring Salary/Recruiting Range:

Salary is competitive with other research oriented, doctoral programs. Commensurate with education and experience.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

Preferred area(s) of specialization are Policing or Corrections with primary consideration given to candidates who demonstrate the capacity to work with agencies and contribute to the Department’s educational missions, research productivity requirements, and service activities.

Educational Requirements for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related academic field. ABDs are encouraged to apply but must have their degree conferred by the start of employment.

Experience Required for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):

Seeking candidates for an advanced Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate is expected to teach core courses in the Department’s academic degree programs, have an active research agenda that includes potential for a strong publication record, potential for (or record of) externally funded research, and a commitment to quality teaching and mentoring of students.
