General Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Journalism, Sports Management or related field. One year of experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs routine managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Athletic Department at Sam Houston State University.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Oversees ESPN+ productions and live streaming content for the SHSU athletic website and OTT App (AppleTV, Roku and Amazon). Oversees and schedules student employees and volunteers in video area. Creates highlight packages following sporting events. Produces studio shows for ESPN+ and the official app. Assists with video board programming and operation, and maintenance at all athletic venues as well as official replay operation and maintenance for sports. Contacts Conference USA to ensure department is meeting all regulations in the broadcasting contract with the league. Contacts for any audio/visual (A/V) related inquires within and outside of athletics department. Performs other related duties as assigned.
