Here, you will make an impact by:Leads incident investigations impacting employee healthDevelops and implements comprehensive industrial hygiene program consisting of such components as hearing conservation, respiratory protection and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Manages all Industrial Hygiene (IH/Ergonomics) related internal company requirements, i.e. Global Safety and Health Plan (GSHP) elementsConducts personal sampling to determine potential impact from environmental factorsDevelops & conducts IH/Ergonomics-related trainingConducts Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) investigations & determines appropriate remediationReview new chemical compositions and equipment entering the facility for IH/Ergonomics concernsProviding assistance/visiting sites regionally (15-25% of the time)Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in Science (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionTwo (2) years of combined experience working in an Industrial Hygiene, Safety and/or Ergonomics position in a private, public, government or military environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Masters degree in industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Public Health or related discipline from an accredited institutionCertified Ergonomics Assessment CertificationAmerican Board of Industrial Hygiene, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or willingness to obtain within the first 18 months of employment at 3MExperience in a plant manufacturing environmentExperience in investigation of IAQ issuesExperience with an IH/Ergonomics data management program (such as WorkCHEC-applies to internal applicants only)Ability to work in a team atmosphereStrong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)Microsoft Office proficientWork location:Hutchinson, MN.Travel: May include up to 25% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
