The Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) team enables one of Microsoft’s most business-critical needs, building the services and tools to enable commerce across Microsoft. Given Microsoft's global presence in over 240 markets, close to 150 million transactions a day, and billions of dollars in revenue, commerce services need to be true internet scale and have state of the art availability, reliability and responsiveness.

Join the Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) team – Commerce Financial Services (CFS) Team. Responsible for running Microsoft Commercial Commerce Engine, Licensing and Fulfilments for millions of customers, through millions of transactions per day and processing of $80B+ of Microsoft Revenue running completely on Azure Platform leveraging multitude of Azure offerings across PaaS, IaaS and Serverless.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to help us achieve our bold goals in Modern Commerce Journey. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skills in full stack development, manage, nurture, and lead a high-calibre engineering team. Candidate should be adept at applying his/ her experience with a focus on problem solving and building an end to end system. Candidate should be highly customer obsessed and have a strong drive for high quality.

  • Lead a team of passionate high-calibre engineers developing and coaching them to higher performance and engagement

  • Work independently and collaboratively with other teams across Globe to land the common goals while maintaining consistency in results

  • Strong passion for technology and Innovative thinking on envisioning of service roadmaps and delivering end to end services which are long-lasting and agile to future needs

  • Connecting technical roadmaps to measurable outcomes through deep understanding of business and technical goals

  • Inculcate strong engineering culture within team driven through strong Quality of Service focus as outcome for customers and partners

  • Bring in & Drive changes to improve productivity, predictability, platforms in line with organizational aspirations & culture

  • Ability to take risks and put a structure around it and achieve the goals with focus on people, quality

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in technical roles, solid shipping experience

  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing a team delivery, performance, mentoring

  • Ability to nurture and grow talent

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Fluent in Azure Stack, Web Applications & API Development, Service & Platform Management, E2E Life Cycle Management & DevOps. React JS Experience is a plus

  • DevOp’s experience is a plus

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
