Qualcomm Senior Lead/Staff Engineer - Modem Firmware in Hyderabad, India

General Summary:

Qualcomm is a world leader in 4G and 5G modem technology and our modem DSP firmware team is actively seeking new members. These positions involve the development of DSP firmware on proprietary DSP platforms for a variety of wireless modem products. Successful candidates will participate in the design, implementation, integration, and verification of fixed-point DSP firmware, and contribute to the architectural design of current and next generation wireless modem technologies. You will work in a small, tightly-knit team and engage with other engineering disciplines to deliver high-performance and high-quality products to the wireless marketplace.

Candidates are primarily responsible for the implementation of communication algorithms.

You will also work closely with Communication System Engineers and Modem ASIC Designers to implement, optimize and influence the current and long term design of our modems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong background in communication theory and digital signal processing (DSP)

-Hands On experience with 4G and 5G Physical layer protocol

  • Strong embedded C programming skill on DSP platform

  • Strong understanding on real-time embedded system

-Basic Experience in working on RTOS

-Ability to work well in a team environment working on multiple projects with challenging deadlines

-5+ years of relevant work experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
