Your day at NTT DATA

The Service/Product Operations Specialist is an important role in meeting NTT Ltd.’s strategic goals of service revenue protection and growth, and operating profit improvement. The position holder is responsible for helping to increase NTT Ltd.’s ability to consistently and predictably deliver relevant, profitable and high-quality service offers and capabilities.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination of activities, actions and deliverables in key operational process which underpin the service/product development lifecycle process to ensure completion within time and budget and in line with development standards and methodologies.

  • Manage changes to portfolio taxonomy and related service codes as both part of new service offer development and to support regular changes to financial reporting, including yearly changes to revenue and cost recognition, reporting progress to management teams.

  • Manage the retirement of service codes as part of end-of-life processes and intercompany integration activities, reporting progress to management teams.

  • Maintain and publish changes to service packaging plan which serves as official reference material for group and regional commercial teams ensuring that orders are properly booked and transacted.

  • Coordinate a robust inter-lock with global portfolio teams to ensure portfolio changes align to global/group methodologyfor expedient time-to-market / release of developments.

  • Coordinate with testing teams to ensure new service codes perform with expected behavior prior to their release to production systems.

  • Coordinate with management teams so that communications are drafted and released in a timely manner.

  • Look for ways to improve and/or streamline processes for managing portfolio taxonomy and service code lifecycle and implement process changes or develop toolsets accordingly.

Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Detail-oriented individuals who are comfortable working with large datasets and with the ability to spot irregularities and ensure data consistency

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel preferred

  • Good understanding of the vast range of IT operations and NTT service offerings

  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs

  • Good relationship management and sound collaborative skills in working with internal and external business leaders and stakeholders

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) coupled with good questioning skills

  • A go-getter with the ability to meet aggressive timelines

  • Display growing knowledge and passion for area specialization

  • Good conceptual insight and ability to think strategically

  • Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business

  • Ability to manage assigned work processes

  • Service orientated individuals who are able to create client value whilst maintaining profitable business results

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science or Business or related field.

  • Relevant certifications such as Scaled Agile and ITIL are beneficial.

Required Experience:

  • Moderate level of experience working in an Information Technology environment, particularly within IT Operations

  • Moderate level of experience in similar role within a related environment

  • Moderate level of experience in effective product lifecycle management and service delivery excellence
