Frontier Credit Union Commercial Loan Officer in ID FALLS, Idaho

Solicits and services commercial loans and deposits. Builds and maintains relationships with existing borrowers and prospective borrowers. Interviews applicants and obtains information regarding earnings and financial condition to evaluate financial status and creates customized loan packages and deal structures, including pricing and terms. Prepares and presents loan presentations to loan committee for approval. Builds and maintains a solid network of resources and business relationships to continually grow the credit unions commercial loan portfolio. May work in conjunction with other Commercial Loan Officers with larger and/or complex loans.This position will be in the Greater Idaho Falls area and is not a remote position.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for developing new relationships to expand commercial loans and member base.
  • Advises clients on suitable loan and credit options. Identifies and refers cross-sell opportunities
  • Obtains and assesses financial information, including financial statements and credit histories
  • Negotiates rates, loan terms, and payment options within policy and current practice
  • Participates in monitoring loan repayment activities and takes necessary action within contracted terms up to and including calling loan due, to protect credit union from loss
  • Performs due diligence on the lending process from application to closing documentation
  • Communicates between borrowers and underwriting departments and is extremely quick to respond and follow up with existing and prospective borrowers, staff, and 3rd parties.
  • Documents all interactions with borrowers and prospective borrowers in Salesforce.
  • Keeps abreast of amendments to loan policies, lending procedures, and regulations
  • Assists with loss mitigation efforts, such as making payment arrangements under advisement of Loss Mitigation or the CLO
  • Primarily responsible for the application data entry and acquisition, scanning and forwarding various documents to underwriting and/or processing.
  • Reviews documents such as but not limited to: appraisals, title policies, environmental reports, sales agreements, rent rolls, construction budgets, etc. for accuracy and to identify potential items that may need addressed.
  • Provides exceptional internal and external member service
  • Act as primary contact on with regard to periodic credit reviews.
  • Understands, applies, and complies with all Credit Union Policies and Procedures, State and Federal laws and regulations, and adheres to requirements set forth by the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Completes other assigned duties commensurate with position.
