USIC Data Analyst in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Description:

Location: United States

WFH positions with occasional travel required.

Summary

As an industry leader in infrastructure protection services, USIC operates at a national scale that produces a tremendous amount of operational, human and geo spatial data. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

This position will report to the Senior Director of Data Warehouse & Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients

  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data

  • Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data

  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions

  • Structure large data sets to find usable information

  • Work with a team of analysts and other associates to process information

  • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings

Requirements

  • 3+ years proven experience on data engineering projects

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field

  • Demonstrated experience, and high comfort level in building dashboards in Power BI

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

  • Technical writing skills

  • Coding skills in languages such as Oracle and Python

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to set and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations

  • Experience with statistical software

  • Reporting and data visualization skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Individual must be comfortable with taking measured risks and be a catalyst for change

  • Excellent skills with MS Office Suite and various data analytical tools
