The Assistant Manager, Global Product Marketing will provide support to Global Product Marketing Team in the development and implementation of the product portfolio, innovation pipeline and product marketing strategy by category and subcategory to enhance brand story and drive growth and market share gains in priority channels and regions. The Assistant Manager will help to lead all aspects of program development, from concept to final program delivery and partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive programs to completion, on time and on budget. The Assistant Manager will also aid in communicating the global product strategy to the regions and have ownership of special projects with manager support.

Key Responsibilities

· Product Marketing Strategy and Execution. Assist in building an innovative product pipeline strategy to support brand's strategic direction, including maintaining ownership of key categories/ subcategories and focus in fast-growing categories and subcategories and hero products:

o Partner with manager and teams to support building overall product, innovation, calendar, consumer, pricing and sampling strategy, presenting up to brand management for approval when necessary

o Work with Regions to cascade and support all aspects of product marketing strategy, including ensure product mixes are optimized to meet the needs of all regions and distribution channels

· Project Management. Assist and lead in daily project management of launches, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams and support groups as a flexible team player:

o Work closely with, and serve as daily contact for projects under responsibility with all cross-functional groups, including PD, Package Design, GBSC, and Creative Operations to ideate program details and ensure the timely development of all calendarized programs

o Provide support for recurring meetings with Marketing, Product Development, Package Development, Package Design, and GBSC to track status of all open programs

o Lead cost sheet and SRP analysis and assist in collaboration between Strategic Finance, Packaging, Global Business Planning and Product Development to optimize SRP’s COGS throughout multiple touchpoints in development process, driving towards brand goals

o Own responsibility for the timely issuance of required execution elements:

§ Prepare and manage all necessary paperwork: Program Briefs, Cost Objectives, DTOs, Bulletins, CPMS requests and copy requests

§ Serve as a liaison between Packaging, Product Development and Creative to ensure the timely delivery of supporting materials and elements needed to release necessary documents

· Data and Analytics. Consistently monitor the performance of each collection:

o Collect and analyze sales trends, category shifts, COG changes, market intelligence and competition, key consumer insight findings, and other research materials to create and support launch process from inception to launch

o Lead and conduct post-mortem and competitive analysis on relevant categories, noting industry trends, brand performance vs. competition, and product opportunities.

o Work closely with regional managers to solicit feedback on past performance of programs and synthesize data to positively impact development of future programs.

o Conduct deep dive analysis on new product pipeline including assisting in launch sizing

o Conduct ad hoc business analysis requests as needed

· Product Marketing Team Support.

o Prepare and support materials for presentation of product marketing plans including annual innovation strategy, regional & retailer presentations and corporate presentations

o Support team with creating global assortment, line edit and pricing strategies

o Coordinating, Agendas, meetings and recaps

Qualifications

Required Skills

· 4 years of related Marketing experience. Full-time experience within the beauty, CPG or retail industries strongly preferred; a demonstrable interest and passion about the beauty industry is a must

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Excellent communication skills with exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to build, foster, and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional teams

· Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn, committed, passionate, and goal-oriented

· Team player with a positive, professional, and enthusiastic “can-do” attitude

· Strong project management skills and follow-through on small details with ability to multi-task, prioritize and drive timelines

· Energetic and proactive with ability to quickly react and action on frequent change in direction

· Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

· Strong analytical skills with a balance between analytical and creative thinking

· Experience in industry competitive databases, including NPD Decision Key, Beaute, Euromonitor, and Tableau a plus

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $73,150 to $109,200. Exact salary depends on several

factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
