Job Description:

We seek an experienced and qualified internal auditor to join our team at Broadcom. Roles and responsibilities mainly focus on SOX execution with sprinkles of compliance driven operational audits.

  • Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls, risk management systems and operational processes

  • Assess the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies

  • Provide independent and objective assessments of the organization’s operations, financial statements and internal controls

  • Develop formal written reports to communicate audit results to management and regulatory compliance agencies where applicable

  • Propose recommendations where appropriate to enhance operational efficiency and identifying other areas of improvement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies

  • Facilitate work of external auditors during on-site visits

Job responsibilities:

  • Review financial statements and supporting documentation, monitor and support SOX testing

  • Assist with the coordination of annual process walkthroughs between management, Internal and External Audit

  • Coordinate SOX attestation documentation

  • Plan and execute audit engagements, including determining audit scope, and perform data analysis and testing

  • Evaluate internal control systems and verify adherence to applicable laws and regulations

  • Perform risk assessments, internal control evaluations, identify control deficiencies, and perform impact assessment

  • Prepare and present audit reports to stakeholders

  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations

  • Participate in the annual risk assessment and internal audit engagements

  • This role requires communication with department heads, IT and accounting managers/directors as well as the external audit team. Interested individuals should have excellent communication skills and experience communicating with higher level IT, finance and accounting professionals

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems

  • Professional certification, such as CPA, CIA, or CISA

  • 8+ years of audit/SOX experience

  • Experience in developing and executing audit plans and evaluating internal control systems

  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial documents and audit reports in English

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to work independently

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio

  • Technology audit experience in ITGC, automated control, reports testing, and secure SDLC is a plus

Additional Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $84,000 - $135,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
