Are you looking for a challenging role where you are responsible for financial data? We have an oppportunity with a large Insurance client in the Irving area.... JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of insurance premium payments received for insurance policies. Performs high volume account maintenance to customer accounts upon receipt of payment. Research and reconcile payment discrepancies. Credits payments received and complies with legal requirements regarding the collection, processing, and crediting of payments. Responsible for processing and posting anywhere from 500/600 daily payments and/or researching approximately 100/day. Job requires integrity, being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations. SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Ability to calculate and account for funds and process payments. Ability to problem-solve using basic math calculations. Ability to accurately perform calculations and produce required documentation. Capable of working flexible hours including mandatory overtime when required for month-end processing. While duties will be repetitious, candidates must be able to work on additional projects as assigned. Attention to detail required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy workload. Apply to use independent judgment, reasoning, and critical thinking to make decisions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years accounting or bookkeeping experience, desired but not required Electronic mail software Billing Online System experience Experience with Home or Auto Insurance Imaging experience Proficient working knowledge Microsoft Products (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.) Ten-Key Data Entry Typing speed of 30 wpm
