Position: Dim & Re-Weigh Administrator
Job Description:
Forward Air is seeking capable and career-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced shipping/dock operation. Our Dim & Re-Weigh Administrator’s will be responsible for analyzing and organizing dock operations and procedures such as removing debris, measuring freight, weighing freight, and other dock support services.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Dim and re-weigh freight
Oversee the cleanliness of the dock area, including ensuring that cleaning supplies are available, cleaning supplies are in good working order
Ensure dim and reweigh procedures are followed
Maximize productivity through proficient use of appropriate cleaning, dim & reweigh techniques
Establish uniform procedures and style practices
Create and maintain proper work habits for dock operations
Maintain contact with managers, ensuring high level of communication
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment while delivering quality and efficiency
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed
Experience working in a transportation dock environment a plus
General computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook, AS400
Must be 18 or older
Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess a “can do" attitude with a “will do" work ethic
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus
Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
