Citigroup VP, Business Analytics Lead Analyst (Hybrid) in Irving, Texas

This role is focused on generating insights of branch network effectiveness including evaluation of branch performance, network market strength, customer transactional patterns and effectiveness of branch pilot initiatives. Our goal is to build a strong branch network strategy to optimize branch service and products for our customers. The expectation from the role is to be the subject matter expert on all branch network related analytics, drive strategic initiatives and perform day to day tactical problems resolution. The role involves performing deep analytics to understand customer behavior, identify emerging risks and highlight areas of opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong data and analytical skills, very comfortable harvesting data across different data sources. This position will partner closely with Branch leadership around strategic and execution priorities.

Essential Job Function:

  • Identifies data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.

  • May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis

  • Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings

  • Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies

  • Gathers data from various cross functional stakeholders to examine past business performance

  • Develop advanced analytics using an assortment of modeling methods, algorithms, and techniques, e.g., predictive modeling, text mining, statistical forecasting and analysis, optimization, and simulation modeling

  • Prepare & present findings to management and collaborate with business partners

  • Execute day to day project management for on-going initiatives to ensure quality of deliverables and ensure timelines are met

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinking and thought leadership to identify and communicate business opportunities

  • 5+ years experience in analytics and modeling or relevant area.

  • Extensive hands-on coding experience across various big data environments with at least one of below language: Python, Impala, Hive, SAS, SQL, etc.

  • Experience in Big Data platforms and related technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Apache Spark, Teradata etc.

  • Machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Logistic Regression, Gradient Boosting, Random Forests, etc.

  • GIS experience and background a plus but not required.

  • Excellent quantitative and analytic skills; ability to derive patterns, trends, and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis.

  • Ability to build effective presentations to communicate analytical findings to a wide array of audiences.

  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment dealing with ambiguous business challenges

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration & influencing skills

  • Experience in the financial & banking services

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
