Purpose of Role:

The Application Services Manager is responsible for managing Mey Diageo's entire application portfolio, which includes both SAP and non-SAP applications. The role encompasses the end-to-end lifecycle management of these applications, ensuring they meet business needs and adhere to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). As a starting point, the role owner should develop a comprehensive understanding of the global application portfolio and identify the roadmap for local applications. The manager will provide strategic leadership in digital transformation, oversee application lifecycle phases from strategizing to retiring, and ensure high availability and performance while continuously seeking improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive strategies for application services aligned with organizational goals.

• Oversee application lifecycle management from strategizing to retiring applications.

• Lead a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement and professional development.

• Build strong relationships with business units and IT Business Partners; act as a trusted advisor to senior management.

• Ensure alignment between internal customer roadmaps and application roadmaps anticipating future needs.

• Implement robust change management processes; ensure deployed releases meet customer expectations.

• Manage SLAs rigorously; establish KPIs for performance monitoring.

• Act as an escalation point; resolve complex issues promptly.

• Analyze business systems; recommend innovative solutions leveraging emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in computer science/engineering/finance/business management preferred (MBA desirable).

• Minimum 10 years' experience in IT/application services management with proven success in digital transformations involving major ERP system migrations like SAP ECC-S4HANA upgrades/migrations projects.

• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across all levels including C-suite executives.

• Proficiency in English at a C1/C2 level, with the ability to communicate effectively within our global organization and drive complex discussions in your area of expertise.
