Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, your essential duties will include interpreting engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas in conjunction with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. You will be responsible for selecting products for tests at specified stages in the production process and testing these products for a variety of qualities. Your role will also involve the use of hand measuring equipment as well as computer-aided equipment such as micrometers, height gauges, check pins, and gauges. You will compare dimensions on final shop drawings or work orders for compliance and maintain files of inspection, rejection, and defective product. Investigating causes of defective parts and implementing corrective action is a key part of the role. In addition, you will recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within the limits of equipment capability and prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into a computer for analysis.
