The Director of Operations and Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all manufacturing and supply chain activities. This role leverages extensive manufacturing and supply chain experience and leadership skills to drive safety, productivity, exceptional quality, and on-time shipments while meeting company sales and cost objectives. The individual in this role will develop strategy, manage scheduling and cost controls, and drive continuous improvements to deliver high-impact business results, delighting shareholders with profits and customers with service excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Develop a high-performance team capable of fueling growth in alignment with corporate objectives.

· Demonstrate leadership that embodies Core Values, creates energy, leads change, inspires people to achieve goals, and delivers results.

· Supervise staff, including hiring, employee communications, training, discipline, evaluation, and termination responsibilities.

· Coordinate maintenance and safety activities to ensure a safe workplace with optimally maintained equipment.

· Oversee the implementation and management of manufacturing, supply chain/materials group (shipping, receiving, and warehousing), production scheduling, personnel requirements, production standards, and cost objectives.

· Drive best-in-class Lean Manufacturing methodologies focused on efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.

· Establish metrics and drive accountability at all levels of the manufacturing and supply chain organization, ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.

· Generate frequent forecasting and manufacturing metrics reports for management.

· Collaborate with Sales/Customer Service, Finance, Engineering, Quality, and HR to ensure optimized production and supply chain strategies.

· Formulate and recommend manufacturing and supply chain policies and programs to maintain and improve the organization’s competitive position and operational profitability.

· Review and recommend capital equipment purchases to support and grow the business.

· Optimize inventory levels and implement inventory control systems to meet production needs while minimizing costs.

· Communicate with sales and customer service to understand and ensure compliance with contracted requirements.

· And any other duties needed to help drive our Vision, Mission, and Values

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA/Master’s degree preferred.

· Over ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing/production and supply chain environment with progressive management, preferably in a process-oriented industry.

· Over five (5) years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing and supply chain environment.

Demonstrated experience leading change and improving systems and management standards using Lean Transformation principles.

· Comprehensive knowledge of modern manufacturing, supply chain management, and production scheduling concepts and practices.

· Material/inventory control experience using MRP systems.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and MRP systems, preferably Oracle.

· Minimal travel required; ability to travel as needed.

Other Skills and Qualifications:

· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, communicate effectively, and drive the organization towards common goals.

· Thorough understanding of factory and supply chain operations and the ability to optimize resources to deliver required output and control costs with lead-time.

· Ability to identify gaps, make quick decisions, and develop world-class, cost-effective solutions.

· Outstanding analytical, statistical, and reasoning skills for problem-solving, strategic planning, creativity, innovation, and complex decision-making.

· Proven experience with process excellence and other quality management tools.

· Interpersonal and supervisory skills, including emotional competency, coaching, providing feedback, evaluating performance, and motivating employees.

· Ability to interact and influence individuals at all levels within the organization while communicating effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

· Ability to mentor and develop leaders.

· Highly motivated, self-starter capable of working and delivering results on own initiative.
