We are pleased to announce the following available position: FT ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) $5,000 Bonus!!!!!

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines. The Assistant Director of Nursing functions in an advisory capacity to Administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care. This position directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice that promotes optimum health care delivery.

The ADON is responsible for the coordination of the interdisciplinary care delivered to patients on patient care units. The ADON has the responsibility for monitoring the overall functioning of the unit and for initiating problem solving activities when necessary. While not a direct supervisor of the non-nursing members of the team, the ADON is charged with keeping the activity on the unit organized and may intervene, when necessary to discuss concerns, problems, suggestions with other treatment team members or with non-clinical support staff, such as housekeeping, maintenance, business office, dietician involving the Director of Nursing as necessary. In collaboration with the House Supervisors, and with input from the nursing staff, ensures that best practice standards are adhered to at all times. Serves as the DON designee as appointed by the DON.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or BS preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of recent Psychiatric experience. Recent management/administrative experience preferred.

Age-Specific Competencies: Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric

Licensure/Certification: Current FL RN license or current license from a compact state required; CPR certification required; Handle with Care certification required.
