Avmax Group Inc. Operations Manager - ASUS in Jacksonville, Florida

The Operations Manager (ASUS) is responsible for overseeing all activity of the Avmax Spares US operations, based in Jacksonville, FL. The Operations Manager will observe and analyze the overall efficacy of the department, recommend improvement strategies to management.

The incumbent will oversee the warehouse team and collaborate with the sales department to ensure things are moving smoothly and efficiently.

Reporting

The Operations Manager (ASUS) reports directly to President-US Operations.

    Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations to ensure department goals are met.

  • Lead the warehouse team; monitor and drive key performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with the sales department to ensure organizational targets are met.

  • Recommend process improvement initiatives to management that drive year-over-year improvement; streamline and optimize day-to-day operations.

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure excellent customer service.

  • Provide after-sales support to clients to resolve issues and maintain a positive relationship while maintaining Avmax's standards of operation.

  • Monitor inventory levels and provide best business practice on how best to achieve department goals.

  • Monitor sales targets; proactively communicate status reports and issues to manager.

  • Provide oversight on potential sales strategy for ASUS local markets.

  • Create and maintain a strong safety culture and work environment.

  • Take lead role in the planning and executing of the department budget.

  • Mentor warehouse and sales staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g. business administration, logistics) required.

  • Experience with complex operational improvement projects and demonstrated ability to adapt and innovate.

  • Ability to understand work flow and business processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team within a fast-paced environment supporting multiple projects.

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

    Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales/business administration role.

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.

  • Aviation experience considered a strong asset.

  • Experience with Quantum or other large ERP systems considered an asset.

  • Intermediate/advanced user of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong ability to adapt to new software/technology.
