Northrop Grumman is seeking a Tools & Parts Attendant to support a maintenance program with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Jacksonville, FL. The CBP P-3 fleet consists of Airborne Early Warning (AEW) and Long-Range Tracker (LRT) high-endurance, all-weather, tactical turbo-prop aircraft. The AEW aircraft are utilized primarily for long-range patrols along the entire U. S. border, and in source and transit zone countries. The LRT aircraft are used to intercept, track airborne and surface threats in source and transit zone countries. The P-3 aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art, highly sophisticated sensor equipment, i.e., radar, electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) detecting systems.

**This is a Service Contract Act position.

*This position may rotate shifts based on the operational need of the Program.

Your duties include:

• Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices.

• Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools.

• Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.

• Unpacks, inspects and stores new equipment.

• Verify calibration and serviceability of tools prior to issuing out, to include routing tools out for calibration and repair as needed.

• Visually inspects tools or measures devices with micrometer for wear or defects.

• Reports damaged or worn-out equipment to management.

• May coat tools with grease or other preservative.

• May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment

• Requisition materials, and consumable supplies through supply system.

• Perform other tasks as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 2 yrs of Tool and Parts management with a High School diploma or equivalent.

  2. Knowledge of aviation tools, parts and equipment.

  3. Meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions including the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

  4. Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

  5. Ability to obtain/maintain a successful Department of Homeland Security Background Investigation.

  6. Ability/willingness to change work shifts in order to support the operation of the program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with aviation special tools, equipment, and sets.

  2. Familiarity and ability to use Microsoft Office.

  3. Familiarity with AMFAMS (Air and Marine Fleet Aircraft Management System) or equivalent.

Salary Range: $19 - $21

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
