What You’ll Do

A. Support and Roll out of COE Statutory Financial Compliance Related Initiatives

Work with various stakeholders such as GSS, Controllership, Legal and Corporate Tax & Treasury in to set COE statutory compliance functions for India and SEA. Roll out COE related business process and procedures to ensure business operated compliance with corporate requirement, local laws and regulations; Maintain completeness and accuracy of legal entities compliances related database and provide transparency and visibility to the Asia COE leader and business relating to statutory compliances and risks. Stay alert and maintain knowledge in current development in taxes, company law that could impact business and escalate to the appropriate channels for action.

B. Statutory Financials Information and Reporting

Manage and Maintain Accounting Policies and Controls. Ensure alignment with the COE Technical Accounting directions, as applicable. COE Own the maintenance and preparation of legal entity statutory financial statement preparation, reconcile US GAAP to Statutory financial statement. Review and approve statutory reports (US GAAP, local GAAP) Coordinate quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews (BSR); Coordinate Corporate Annual Reporting Package: Assist corporate tax in maintenance statutory chart of accounts for taxes purpose.

C. Taxes Compliance (US and Local Taxes)

Partnership with corporate tax & trade compliance in the supporting taxes compliance related initiatives Review and Approve Income Tax Payments - Annual Return and Monthly Advances Review and Approved VAT Payments - Annual Return and Monthly Advances Provides continuous process improvement in indirect tax that can increase work efficiency. Review Other Indirect taxes (Property, Others) Preparation of Annual Tax Schedules Attend local Tax Audits, when required Provide Quarterly Pre-Tax Forecasts to Corporate Tax Officers Keep the Corporate Tax Officers updated about the Countries Tax Status (Risks, New Taxes, etc.) Preparation of Deferred Tax Package (Corporate Tax T-Schedules)

D. External Audit Coordination and Support

Keep relationship with the local auditors. Negotiate annual tax fees. Discuss with local auditors the annual audit planning and timing. Monitor its progress, jointly with GSS and Controllership and timely escalate audit matters to ensure timely completion of statutory audit and issuance of audited financial statement for statutory filing purpose. Review the final adjustments and the statutory report;

E. Accounting

During month end close required “below lines items” to ensure transactions compliance with tax requirement. Managed accounting for investment & dormant entities accounting including review of accounts rec in the blackline system.

F. Legal Matters

Coordinate with the Lawyers the preparation of the Annual Proxy Statements and Submit them to Corporate for Approval Ensure SOX compliance of legal contracts (FCPA, OFAC, Due Diligences) Support the Legal and Tax Departments on any extraordinary/relevant issues or requirements. Provide due diligence support in the event of any acquisition.

G. Leadership

Provides leadership and support to the Taiwan COE team members in achieving the department goals and objectives; Provides support to the team members career development Develop a successful team with strong team work spirits, willingness to share and work together in achieving department objectives.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor in Accounting or Finance degree | Certified Accountant preferred

  • 8+ years in analysis, accounting and financial reporting experience in a US MNC preferred

  • Prior Audit experience from Big Four Accounting firm and/or FMCG background an advantage

  • Good knowledge of MS Office with advanced skills in Excel & Powerpoint

  • Experience in SAP a must

  • Solid background in financial analysis in a commercial environment

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills in English

  • Good interpersonal & influencing skills to interact with all levels of the organization

  • Highly organized with the ability to complete multi-tasks in a timely manner

  • High team spirit and commitment, systematic and target-oriented working style

  • Must possess high level of integrity and a positive working attitude
